Felt Body
By “felt body” I mean the body we feel when we close our eyes and connect to the sensation we have, rather than the body we see when looking in a mirror.
There is a very strong interdependency between mind an body, constantly influencing each other. Imagination and thoughts create physical sensations that affect the texture and the movement patterns of the body in a very tangible way.
As a dancer, I am constantly investigating the codependency and influence between my mental and emotional state and the form of my body.
Making these images and sensations visible, is another attempt towards moving away from the normative anatomical representation of the body, diving into different layers of perception.
