MIRACLE POINTS
The Border Points
THE POINT OF STABILITY
The Point of Stability is at the border between the cervical part of the spine and the thoracic part of the spine. It is a point of non movement and stability, at the connection between the neck and the torso..
Location: C07 (7th cervical vertebra)
Meeting: It is the point of attachment of the lungs/ pleura, and of the serratus posterior superior muscle.
THE EMOTIONAL HOLE
This point is the place on our chest, where the rib cage ends.
It is a very emotional point which gets affected by the tensions of the diaphragm and the digestive system.
Location: directly under the xiphoid process.
Meeting point: It is the point where the tension of the diaphragm can get the strongest. It is also a place where a lot of organs are meeting: the liver and the stomach under the diaphragm and the heart over the diaphragm
THE POINT OF CONTROL
This point is the place on our back, where the rib cage ends. It is the border between the lumbar part of the spine and the thoracic part of the spine.
Location: T12 (the 12th vertebra), with lower rib of the body.
Meeting: It is the point of attachment of the big trapezius muscle, and the place where the Kidneys and the major psoas are attached.
THE 1-2 DIVISION POINT
This point is situated at the border between the abdomen and the legs, where the body transforms from being one entity to being two. It is an important point for the centering of the pelvis.
Location: on the pubic symphysis (which is the cartilage between the two pubic bones of the pelvis).
Meeting point: It is the place where all the abductors are attached, as well as the abdominal muscles and the pyramidal muscles.
This point is also the start of the Linea Alba, running from that point all the way up until the xiphoid process. The bladder is situated right behind the pubic symphysis and also part of this meeting point.
The Nervous Twins
THE FRONT TWINS
These two points are the main tension points of the neck. It is the place where the body’s major parasympathetic nerves, the vagus nerves, are passing next to some of the strongest muscles of the neck.
Location: right and left next to the hyoid bone.
Meeting point of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, the vagus nerve, and the fascia cervicalis.
THE BACK TWINS
The Back Twins are vegetatives points that when touched can help release the whole body, and minimise stress.
Location: on the sides of the 2C (second cervical vertebra), at the attachment of the occipitalis major nerves.
Meeting point of the occipitalis major nerves, the attach of the trapeze muscles, and the cervical Fascias. The Back Twins are also connected to the dura mater, as the fibers of some muscles attached to the 2C vertebra are themselves attached to the dura Mater.
THE SCIATIC POINTS
These two points are emotional and sexual points of tension which are affected by the sciatic nerves.
Location: where the sciatic nerves come out of the pelvis, through the ischium bones.
Meeting: At these points, the sciatic nerves coming out of the ischium bone are meeting the piriformis muscle and the rectum.
THE STRESS POINTS
These twin points are not related to any particular nerves. They are linked to the adrenal glands, which produce hormones in response to stress. (in that sense I still call them “nervous” twins).
Location: just above the kidneys, where the adrenal glands are located, at the height of L01 (the first lumbar vertebra).
Meeting point: the adrenal glands on the kidney are exactly at the place where the psoas is attached to the spine.
Points linked to Fascias, muscles and organs
THE GLABELLA
The Glabella point (also called the third eye) is a point that when touched can release tension all around the head.
Location: on the frontal bone of the head, right between the eyes.
Meeting: this point connects the front and the back of the head through the muscle occipitofrontalis. Behind the Glabella point, inside the head, is the epiphysis.
THE PECTORAL POINT
The Pectoral Point is a point on the fascia of the sternum where all the tension of the pectoral muscles are coming together. It is also the place where the oesophagus is the narrowest.
Location: on the sternum, at the level of the second rib.
Meeting: The tensions of the two big pectoral muscles are coming together through the fascia on the center of the sternum.
THE ILLIACAECUM POINT
This point is the place where the digestive system and the muscles of the legs (particularly the right leg) are influencing each other. It plays a role in the control of the static and the digestion of the body, and can get easily tense when the digestive system, or the muscle of the right leg are tense
Location: on the right iliac crest.
Meeting point: It is the point of attachment of the sartorius muscle in the inside of the leg and the tensor fascia lata muscle at the outside of the leg. It is also the place where the caecum is situated, which is a large pouch building the border between the small and the large intestine, where the liquid waste is compacted in solid waste. The ileocecal sphincter located in the caecum, prevents the backflow of content between the two intestines, and is one of the most important sphincters of the digestive system. If it gets tensed, all the other sphincters react as well.
